LinkedIn Adds New Company Intelligence API Filters for B2B Advertising
In September 2026, LinkedIn updated its Company Intelligence API, adding three filters for analyzing advertising activity at the company level: campaignGroup, objectiveType, and seniority.
The update was included in Marketing API version 202609 and is primarily intended for B2B advertisers, agencies, and developers of ABM platforms.
What Is the Company Intelligence API?
The Company Intelligence API allows advertisers to analyze how target companies interact with LinkedIn advertising.
Instead of receiving statistics only for individual ads, advertisers can access company-level metrics, including impressions, clicks, engagement, leads, qualified leads, and conversions.
For example, a B2B company can evaluate how actively employees of organizations on its target account list engage with its advertising and which companies demonstrate interest in its product.
How It Worked Before and What Changed
Previously, the API supported filtering by individual advertising campaigns. Analyzing results by campaign groups, advertising objectives, or seniority levels required additional data processing methods.
Since September, three filters have become available:
campaignGroupallows advertisers to analyze company-level metrics within a selected campaign group.objectiveTypeallows advertisers to limit reporting to a specific advertising objective, such as Brand Awareness.seniorityhelps evaluate engagement among employees at a specific seniority level.
For example, an ABM team can separately evaluate how executives engage with advertising and then retrieve a report for a campaign group targeting specific companies.
Limitations
Only one filter from campaign, campaignGroup, objectiveType, and seniority is permitted in a single API request.
The seniority filter supports only the LAST_90_DAYS period. Qualified leads and conversions cannot be broken down by seniority.
When filtering by campaign, campaign group, or objective, organic metrics are returned as zero.
Importantly, Company Intelligence remains a restricted API available only to previously approved developers. LinkedIn is not currently accepting new access applications.
The update expands ABM analytics capabilities but does not change the advertising auction or improve campaign performance on its own.
