Treasure AI Launches OpenAI Ads Conversion API and Equativ Integrations

In October 2026, Treasure AI (formerly Treasure Data) introduced two new advertising connectors: OpenAI Ads Conversion API Export and Equativ Export. The first sends server-side conversion events from the customer data platform (CDP) to OpenAI Ads. The second exports customer segments to Equativ for programmatic advertising activation. Both integrations were introduced in Early Access.

OpenAI Ads Conversion API Export Sends Server-Side Conversion Events

On October 21, 2026, Treasure AI introduced the OpenAI Ads Conversion API Export connector. It sends conversion events directly from Treasure AI to OpenAI Ads through a server-side API, rather than relying exclusively on events collected by a Measurement Pixel installed on a website.

The connector supports standard and custom events. For example, an online retailer can transmit confirmed purchases, while a B2B company can send registration or lead submission events. The source data can include Treasure AI customer events and results from SQL queries.

To configure the integration, advertisers need a valid OpenAI Ads Pixel ID and Conversions API Key. Treasure AI allows teams to map their own fields to OpenAI Ads parameters, preview records, and prepare data for delivery.

When transmitting user identifiers such as email addresses and phone numbers, the connector normalizes and hashes them using SHA-256. This meets the API data-format requirements but does not eliminate the need for appropriate consent or another lawful basis for processing personal data.

Events can be transmitted in batches of up to 1,000 records. An optional setting allows Treasure AI to exclude malformed records when certain field errors occur. The integration can be used through Audience Studio, scheduled jobs, Treasure Workflow, and the CLI.

How Server-Side Events Complement the OpenAI Ads Pixel

In its October 21 documentation, Treasure AI also clarified that the connector is intended to work alongside the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel. Server-side events complement browser measurement and make it possible to report conversions confirmed in a CRM, order management system, or another business data source.

For instance, someone may engage with an ad in ChatGPT and later place an order that is ultimately confirmed by an online retailer’s server. Treasure AI can send that confirmed purchase to OpenAI Ads without depending solely on browser-side event delivery.

When Pixel and CAPI are used together, event identifiers must be aligned for deduplication. Otherwise, the same conversion could be transmitted twice. OpenAI recommends using matching Event ID and Pixel ID values for the same event.

The main benefit is the ability to use customer and transaction data stored in Treasure AI to measure results from advertising in ChatGPT. Sending an event does not, by itself, guarantee that the conversion will be attributed to a specific ad.

Equativ Export Activates Customer Segments in Programmatic Campaigns

On October 24, 2026, Treasure AI introduced Equativ Export, a connector that sends customer audiences to the Equativ advertising platform. The integration lets advertisers use segments built in Treasure AI for targeting in Equativ.

The connector exports two types of data: Segment Taxonomy and Profile Membership. Segment Taxonomy defines which audiences should exist in Equativ. Profile Membership specifies which user identifiers belong to those segments.

During initial setup, teams must export the taxonomy before sending user profiles. If membership data arrives before the corresponding segment has been created, Equativ cannot use the audience correctly.

Updating Audiences Without Manual File Uploads

The October 24 documentation also describes how the connector updates audiences. It supports adding a user to a segment, removing the user from individual segments, and replacing a user’s complete segment-membership list.

For example, an e-commerce company could build a segment of customers with a high likelihood of repeat purchase in Treasure AI and export it to Equativ. As customer behavior changes, the audience can be updated without manual file uploads.

The same approach may be used to exclude existing buyers from new-customer acquisition campaigns. Actual exclusion behavior depends on Equativ campaign settings and targeting capabilities.

Google Cloud Storage, Regional Routing, and Identifier Requirements

On October 24, 2026, Treasure AI documented an export architecture based on Google Cloud Storage. Rather than calling the Equativ API directly, the connector produces export files and uploads them to storage provided by Equativ. Equativ then imports the data into its advertising infrastructure.

The integration requires an Equativ Segment Provider ID. Profile exports support three regional environments: US, EU, and APAC. The selected region must correspond to where the audiences will be used.

This is an important operational constraint. Data sent to the wrong region may be unavailable for targeting, and Equativ may not return an explicit error.

The connector supports identifiers accepted by Equativ, including certain alternative IDs from ID5 and Utiq. Identifier types can be configured in the export settings as needed.

For production use, the documentation specifies a limit of up to 10 GB of data per day per folder. Options are available to validate records and exclude invalid entries. Scheduled exports and Treasure Workflow support recurring audience synchronization.

Conversion Tracking and Audience Activation Solve Different Problems

The October integrations serve two distinct purposes. OpenAI Ads CAPI is a conversion-tracking connection: it delivers events that occur after a user interacts with a business, such as a purchase or registration. Equativ Export is an audience-activation connection: it delivers customer segments for advertising targeting.

In the first scenario, Treasure AI acts as a source of server-side conversion events. In the second, it acts as a source of advertising audiences. Both use data from the CDP, but the connectors are not interchangeable. The OpenAI Ads CAPI connector does not export Custom Audiences, and Equativ Export does not replace a server-side conversion measurement integration.

Treasure AI Connects Customer Data, Marketing Automation, and Advertising

Treasure AI is a platform for combining customer data, managing audiences, automating marketing workflows, and personalizing customer interactions.

On April 20, 2026, Treasure Data announced its transition to the Treasure AI brand and its positioning as an Agentic Experience Platform. Alongside traditional customer data platform capabilities, the company is developing AI agents for data analysis, segmentation, campaign preparation, and marketing process automation.

Treasure AI offers data ingestion, unified customer profiles, identity resolution, audience segmentation, predictive scoring, and data delivery to external marketing systems.

Audience Studio is used to create segments and activate audiences. Engage Studio manages customer communications and automated journeys. Personalization Studio personalizes website experiences based on customer attributes and behavior. Treasure AI Studio provides an interface for working with data and marketing tasks through AI agents.

For e-commerce businesses, the platform can combine purchase history, website behavior, and customer preferences to build and activate advertising audiences. Customer service businesses can use CRM, order, and support data in marketing workflows. B2B companies can create and activate relevant commercial audiences from available customer and contact data.

The October updates extend two ways to connect a CDP with paid media: reporting server-side conversions to OpenAI Ads and exporting customer audiences to Equativ. Companies using both advertising systems can draw on a shared customer-data infrastructure for separate measurement and activation use cases.
