TikTok Smart+ Asset Manager: Catalogs, Data and Creative
Smart+ Asset Manager: TikTok Brings Catalogs, Data, and Creative Into One Hub
At TikTok World 2026, the platform introduced Asset Manager, a new section inside Smart+ where commerce advertisers can place everything they need to launch: product catalogs, data connections such as pixel, events, and feeds, and creative assets. The U.S. launch is planned for Q2 2026, with broader availability expected later.
What It Is
Before this update, these three blocks lived in different corners of TikTok Ads Manager. Catalogs were managed in Catalog Manager, events in Events Manager, and creative assets in the Library. For every campaign launch, the manager had to move between tabs, check whether the feed had loaded, whether the pixel was sending events, and whether the right videos had been uploaded.
Asset Manager removes that back-and-forth. It creates one interface where the status of all three layers is visible, and where a campaign can be started from the same workflow.
On top of that, TikTok adds Auto Selection. The system automatically decides which creative assets from the uploaded pool should go into delivery for a specific product and audience. In other words, the manager does not need to manually distribute videos across asset groups.
Who It Helps
The feature is most useful for e-commerce brands with large SKU counts and performance agencies managing many commerce campaigns in parallel. When you have 500 products, three feeds, and a hundred creative assets, the operational work of assembling the campaign can take more time than the strategy itself.
Asset Manager is aimed directly at that pain point. It reduces the routine work around campaign setup and makes it easier to see whether the core inputs for delivery are actually ready.
A Cautious Take
For now, access is limited to the U.S. and to a testing group. There are no substantial agency cases or public practitioner reviews yet. Once the product is used in real accounts, we will see whether the interface is meaningfully faster than the old setup or simply a cleaner wrapper around the same workflow.
